Community Food Response (CFR) is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization serving adults and children in the Rochester area since 1993. Drivers collect food donations from hospitals, restaurants, cafeterias, businesses, and grocery stores and take the food to CFR’s distribution site. The food is sorted and then distributed, free of charge, to anyone facing food insecurity. CFR requires no registration, residency, or income requirements. In addition to helping people in need, CFR helps our partner food donors avoid sending edible food into our waste stream.

Jeremiah Program (JP) ’s mission is to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. Our primary goal is to support and inpower JP moms to enroll and graduate from college and launch a family-sustaining career, allowing them to attain economic mobility. Recognizing that the successes of a mother and her children are inextricably linked, our signature two-generation (“2Gen”) program invests simultaneously in the mother’s vision for future – her post-secondary education, career, and leadership goals – and the growth and development of her children.
